Good morning dear readers!! On this lovely Monday, we(the sisterly team of MayDae) are bringing you this weeks Etsy.com picks from one our favorite fall movies, The Village. Although it seems that M. Night’s popularity has dropped off a bit lately, we adore the colors, sounds and feel of this romantic and thrilling film.
A town that, running from it’s past, has secluded itself amongst a forest of deadly creatures is challenged when one of their own commits a crime and they must send a blind girl out into the woods to get help. I still get chills when Lucius comes to the rescue of Ivy at the absolute last second and we all breathe a sigh of relief. Now is the perfect time to watch whether it be your first time or tenth, with the leaves changing and Halloween just a week away – we promise you won’t be disappointed. This film is breathtaking.

One of my FAV movies! Storm and I saw it in the theater 4 times. Aww, to find a Lucius! Yes, the colors and feel are romantic and simplistic and very fall. I never thought of the movie that way, but tis true.

I was JUST looking at a jar-light chandelier at an Anthropologie-love website from one of their big, over-the-top store displays and kinda lovin’ it! Pretty sure I actually owned the Moon Child dress in 1972 and that vintage wedding dress could be a Jessica McClintock for Gunne Sax ’72, too!
Great movie. Great picks!

what a fantastic post–so many wonderful findings that really speak to me. i love to dress vintage, specially in winter–nothing keeps you warm like long woolen skirts with petticoats-used to walk my children to school like that and never felt the snow or cold!
i loved that movie too, M Knight has to be my favorite…sorry to hear he’s not as popular, wondered why i hadnt seen anything new lately.
