Random jumping.

For a long time in my life, I thought when people said it was “Hump Day” – they were talking about something inappropriate.  Now whether that was just my naivete or a reflection on the types of people saying it, I don’t know.  I like to think it was no fault of my own that I believed these people would be trying to corrupt my brain with this so-called “Hump Day” but I suppose that doesn’t really matter.

Now we all know, or we do now that I have enlightened you – that “Hump Day” is Wednesday and it refers to the fact that if you can get through this specific day, you are past the hump in your week and the rest should be a breeze.  Although that is not always true, if it makes people feel better to think it – then think on!  Even though I now know what “Hump Day” is – (are you getting tired of my quotations yet?  I am.) – the term still bothers me and I don’t particularly enjoy it when people say it.  It brings me back to what I thought it meant originally and hearing it is one of my pet peeves.

Today I am deciding to change that(and the term) and call this “Jump Day”.  Why not?  Random jumping is fantastic and I think everyone should take part.

Even boys can get involved.

Doesn’t it look fun?!  You know you want to try it.  Wouldn’t it be amazing if people all over the world were jumping randomly on Wednesdays?  I think it would make me ecstatic and I would cheer in the streets if I saw someone walking along and jump into the air suddenly.  It would make my day – so if you ever see me in the streets on a Wednesday, do it for me(and for everyone else who hates the term “Hump Day”) and give a little hop.
