Our family started a Thanks Tree earlier this week. I really want our kids to take the time to think about the things that they have and also take the time to be thankful for them. I got the idea after reading this post, and we created our own using tree branches, mason jars, and paper in the shape of leaves.
The point of the tree to is to write things we are thankful for on the leaves, and have a visual reminder of everything we have. The kids have been adding leaves everyday this week. Some of them have been silly like “light bulbs” and “cookies”, and some of them have been so sweet, like “my brother” and “love”. We plan to keep adding leaves until Thanksgiving day and I can’t wait to see these branches fill up!
Tristan added this one, and I have to agree. I am so thankful for my amazing family.

What a lovely idea. I am also thankful that Tristan found you and you both have given me 3 precious grandchildren. I love you all!
