It’s very very cold here in the Denver region, (there are no signs of Spring) but that won’t stop me from posting some sunny, colorful fashion. I realized today (with the help of a certain someone) that we haven’t posted too many guy-related posts lately, and I definitely agree. I am MORE than happy to talk guy-fashion, home decor, ect… I am quite opiniated when it comes to the way that men dress, and I think that 90% of men out there are not looking as handsome as they could be. I’m pretty lucky to have a husband that has a cute style, and I don’t want to be one of those wives that forces her husband to wear something that he absolutely hates…but displaying some inspiration photos doesn’t hurt…right?
I adore this photo shoot for Shipley & Halmos Spring 2011 line. The concept is so original, bright, and cheery – don’t ya think?
So, the question of the day is, why don’t most men wear more creative, fashionable clothing? Is it in their DNA – or does our culture ridicule unique people that don’t conform to our “normal” idea of fashion, and that is why the majority want to blend in?

I think I had that first grey suit when I was a kid. I can’t believe I’m so old that fashion is cycling back around.

Haha, Tris. Yes. Well, try being so old it has not only cycled back, but is even re-cycling back!
I think with men it is like that wonderful quote from the movie, Clueless: “So okay, I don’t want to be a traitor to my generation and all but I don’t get how guys dress today. I mean, come on, it looks like they just fell out of bed and put on some baggy pants and take their greasy hair – ew – and cover it up with a backwards cap and like, we’re expected to swoon? I don’t think so. ”
Through the many years I have lived [many]…it always seems to fall that way. The guys will wear whatever and are still “cute.” It may or may not be true that women seem to have to actually try harder. But it feels true.
