Partial head shaving for women has been around for a while now, but there is something that draws me back to it again and again. It probably has a lot to do with my love of asymmetry, and also my love of fashion that is slightly bizarre. This hairstyle seems strong and audacious, and all of these women look like they could take care of themselves. I wonder if I could pull it off?

An alternative to asymmetry which would be much easier to achieve without such drastic measures (for chickens like myself) comes from the 80s: one stud earring. The other a huge, honkin’ shoulder duster. Then your head sort of lops to one side and voila! Asymmetry!
Don’t do it, May! :)

I couldn’t do it. You are right though they all look like they could take care of themselves! Tough women.

I don’t know about this one Steph…it makes me wonder if you are a genius or a little cuckoo bananas. It reminds me of back in the 90’s when all girls were doing the bottom half shaved with long on the top…didn’t like it back then. I might be able to warm up to it and I’m sure you of all people could pull it off…I am on the fence…:)

Haha – I knew that this wouldn’t be a mainstream look – but there’s just something about it that intrigues me….

Love the first photo…the long hair and shaved look becomes her.
