A whole year has passed since we’ve written these posts. Remember any of them?

What were you doing a year ago?

Hello lovelies!

This weekend flew by in a complete blur (much like the above photo). Most weekends are generally busy for me, but this one – I feel like I completely missed it. It’s most likely because I was technically “working” the whole way through – taking product shots for our Etsy shop and working on blog posts for MayDae.

Remember our “Listing a Day” challenge? We are 5 days in and things are going really well so far – at least from my perspective, I got SO many product shots taken this weekend. Don’t forget you can see the new products we list everyday by following me on Instagram (@StormieRhoades) and Stephanie’s vintage kids updates for Fibbie on Instagram (@Stephanie_May).

I painted my nails on Friday using the half-moon method I tried here. Totally didn’t realize until after I was done that they match my phone case. I guess I like that color combination.

I hope your Monday has been fantastic so far…I’m just glad mine is almost over.

Does the title of this post make me a horrible person? If you don’t think so yet, you may shortly.
I have developed a slight obsession with leather satchels. I look for them every time I go thrifting (which unfortunately has been infrequent lately) but I can never find anything that I actually want to purchase. I look at satchels online at least 3 times a week – always drooling of course.

So prett.y
If you happen to find a killer leather satchel, I would not turn it away.
Also – the word satchel? Pleasing.

There is supposed to be more snow in Denver tomorrow. Sad face.
I really am over the snow and this whole extended Winter crap. Spring and Fall are my seasons. Still cool enough to wear layers but not so cold that your eyes freeze the moment you step outside or so hot that you melt on the sidewalk. Summer and Winter are no bueno and I’ve had enough. The snow…needs to stay away. The remnants from the last storm we had finally just melted from my yard – but alas, the forecast is for more snow the next two days. I’m hoping the weathermen keep up their habit of being wrong.
All this snow talk got me thinking how excited I am for Spring weather to finally grace us. And what do I think of when Spring comes to mind? Clothes…

Floral mini dresses like this one from Pom Pom Clothing are so cute, and would look great with a pair of tights.

Comfy tees are a must have. I love the simplicity and the pocket detail of this tee from Pebby Forevee.

I am a slouchy jacket girl all the way. LOVE this sweatshirt from FM908.

These floral shorts from Boodwah are an item that I totally wish I could pull off, but I am content to admire them from afar.

And I think everyone should own a pair of sparkly Oxford flats – if I didn’t already have a pair, I would definitely go to Golden Ponies for them.
I’m so excited to try new things with my current wardrobe – it’s always fun to change it up with the seasons. My prediction is that my gold sparkly flats will make it out of the closet on a regular basis.
What is your favorite Springtime clothing item or outfit?

I’ve aquired quite a few new pieces of clothing over the past month, and most of them I haven’t had to pay for! Between our clothing swap, and Stormie’s closet, I’ve been a lucky-lucky girl ♥
Nitty-gritty details:
Navy blue dress with Peter Pan collar: Vintage (gifted from Stormie)
Chevron shirt: Express (got it from our clothing swap!)
Pyramid belt: (borrowed from Stormie)
Polka dot tights: Vera Wang
Strappy heels: Forever 21 (gifted from Stormie)
Black hat: Vintage (thrifted)

Did you see the photos of Stephanie’s daughter, Guini’s new haircut? If not, go look now – it is SO sweet! After seeing her pretty photos, I remembered how much I LOVE freckles – and Guini has some great ones! I, myself, have a light sprinkling but I always wanted a tad more. Freckles to me are so beautiful and add so much character – I can’t get enough of them.

This last photo is one of my favorite of all time – freckles or not. Absolutely breathtaking I think.
Do you have freckles? Love ‘em/hate ‘em?

No, this post is not about what I consumed for dinner tonight (although I did have chicken). Do you remember this post from back in August? Stephanie and I had a “friendly bet” going on which pair of these shoes from our shop would sell first.

Stephanie was betting on the yellow pair (ick) and I said the brown pair. Well folks, tonight is an epic night and I’ll tell you why. The brown, yes brown, shoes have been sold to a LOVELY lady in California. What an amazing Friday it has been! Yes…I am just slightly rubbing this in Steph’s face – I can’t help it.
Meanwhile, Stephanie and I are attending the AMC Theatres Best Picture Showcase for the third year in a row tomorrow. This year, we decided to hit up both weekends so tomorrow we will view 4 of the Best Picture nominated movies back-to-back and next Saturday we will see the remaining 5. Phew – it’s going to be an insane couple of weekends but I think we’re ready for it…we know, we’re kind of crazy sometimes but movies are in our blood – we can’t get enough (I’ll let you know if we’re still saying that after next weekend).
Have a fantastic weekend…oh and I did I tell you I won our bet? ;-)

I found these 4 gorgeous items on Etsy, and wanted to share them with you. Aren’t they just….wonderful?

Happy Valentine’s Day! This is my second favorite holiday (next to Christmas), and this outfit that was SUPER fun to wear. I mean, what other day can you wear a red coat, red hat, red lips, and red hair all on the same day? Not to mention, underneath that coat I wore a purple dress and pink cardigan. Red, purple and pink?! It’s definitely Valentine’s Day friends.
Coat – vintage, thrifted
Bow hat – vintage, gift from Stormie
Dress – vintage, thrifted (seen here)
Cardigan – Gap, thrifted
Heels – Chinese Laundry, thrifted
P.S. I have a SUPER cute Valentine this year….in fact, he’s been my Valentine for 11 years in a row. Love you Tristan! *Our Valentine photos from last year.

Have you seen people blog about how to get good photos and use your camera correctly? I think I’m going to start an online course of how to NOT use your camera correctly. Wouldn’t you want to be part of that? …I thought so.
This weekend I finally wore my first piece of shredded jersey loveliness. If you still haven’t tried it, check this out – you will turn into a shredding maniac. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
I was entirely too excited to wear it on Sunday and even when I was getting into bed last night, it was torturous to bring it to an end and take it off. I may just live in the dang thing. Since I had never tried the shredding technique before, I didn’t want to do it on anything that I was in love with – so I grabbed a cardigan from our clothing swap (haven’t tried one? see what it’s all about here) that was too big and wouldn’t fit me anyway. I figured if the shredding worked out, it would just be a super slouchy cardigan – which I am always okay with.
The result:

There’s that popular pose where something on my shoe is very intriguing. I think you are all probably experts at what the top of my head looks like by now…don’t believe me? Check out my shoe project from last Summer. Yep.

…Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer…

And my shredded cardy! In love.

While it hasn’t snowed for a few days, it has been BITTER cold here in Denver and by the time I was finished with my photos – my nose was running and my fingers felt like they would break off. Brrrrrr…
We’ll make that my excuse for the horrid photos…it was really cold, and I wanted to go back inside. Oh – and my camera thought it was really cold too.
Meanwhile, Stephanie will have a legit outfit post for you tomorrow – Valentine’s inspired, so make sure you check back.
Happy V-Day!
