To: Him.

Today I’m celebrating 30 years of my husband, Tristan!  Happy Birthday to the best husband, father, friend, and kisser:)  I’m really looking forward to another year of being with him, and all of the new adventures he will take in his music.  I’m so grateful that I get to tag along on his amazing journey, and that he actually wants me there with him!  I’m so proud to be his wife – he is the most talented person I know.

My family all got together this weekend to celebrate Tristan’s birthday with Timpano, fruit pizza, cute photos,  a game of “Tristan Trivia” (Stormie Dae won!), and a lot of laughs.

Most of the decor was wood grain and red.  Stormie Dae printed these custom root beer bottle labels that said, “Tristan is Cool”.  We also drew chalkboard speech bubbles and made a wood grain background (with contact paper) and had some fun photo ops.  I also came up with a game – I asked everyone at the party to draw different features on an outline of Tristan’s head, and see what they would come up with.  We passed this blank “head” outline around the table and each person had to draw something different – left eye, chin, right eyebrow, ect…  The goal was to make it look as much like Tristan as possible, but it had to be our own interpretation of how we think each feature looks.

This is the (slightly disturbing) finished product.  Needless to say, we were all laughing hysterically by the end of this, and it didn’t look anything like Tristan, but it was a super fun experiment, and I would love to try it again sometime!

I’m so happy to be able to spend nights like this with Tristan.  He is my perfect guy, and I am so blessed to have him in my life.  Happy Birthday to him!
