You know us. We love coffee. It’s something that Stephanie & I literally cannot go a day without. It’s not just the caffeine (although those nasty headaches we get without it don’t help) – it’s really everything about it. The temperature, the aroma, the way it feels as it permeates your entire body. Alright, I may be taking it a little too far – but coffee is lovely, and anyone who thinks differently is a tad silly in my eyes.
For the past few months, Stephanie and I have been talking about doing a coffee tasting to find some new flavors. You know how you get stuck on one kind and never really venture outside of that? We really want to try and give other coffees a chance – and I think there are probably some really great undiscovered flavors out there just waiting for a taste.
These are not “undiscovered” per se but on my list of must tries are:
Blue Bottle Coffee Co. – Three Africans seems to be a very popular flavor.
Stumptown Coffee Roasters – are they joking right now with their baristas? …uhhh, hello.
Handsome Coffee – this is at the top of my list, I can’t really resist the name…really.
So now is where I need your help. I am hoping to order some of the three coffee brands above, but what else should we add to our tasting list? What is your favorite kind of coffee – anything is fair game…unless we have to travel to the mountains of Argentina to find it – that may prove to be a little difficult.
Who knows, if we decide to try some of the suggestions and one of them turns out to be our favorite – we may just send you a gift of gratitude…

Go to CoffeeAM.com and order the Sumatran Black Satin roast. You will be in heaven!!!
Actually, I have neverr had a bad coffee from them. They sent a sample of blueberry with one of my orders. I thought it sounded weird. When I made it, I thought I was eating bluebery pie and coffee in one sip!

My suggestion isn’t just the coffee grounds themselves, but a location. It is FABULOUS! It’s called Lost Coffee, and they’re located in Castle Rock, but they also have a truck that goes around to different businesses by contract in Denver. That was how I discovered them, and they have some of the best coffee I have ever tasted (including Starbucks!). Here is their website: http://www.lostcoffee.com/storelocations/limelight-castle-rock/

I <3 stumptown. (I hear you can buy it at Crema, downtown.) I'm a huge fan of NW coffees … my top favs are Victrola (Seattle ) and Heart (Portland).
And the next time you're in Denver check out Metropolis … they carry Herkimer (Seattle)… my favorite in town!

Your going to laf, but the “Whole Foods” Blend has been no.1 on my charts for almost a year now, yes, surpassing the greatness that was and still is “Cafe Estima” from Starbucks.
I share your love for coffee…it’s good to see I am not alone.

May I recommend Transcend Coffee (http://transcendcoffee.com/) from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
I can’t say I’ve ever been into coffee but my husband is a bit of a coffee connoisseur (he worked at Starbucks for 2 years and loves coffee for the taste, not the caffeine) and we order all our coffee from Transcend and it is so worth it. My main beef with coffee was that it never tasted as good as it smelled, the first mocha my husband made me with Transcend espresso surprised me with how good it was because the espresso tasted as good as it smelled. I’m still not a coffee drinker but this tasty coffee sure is tempting sometimes.
My husband grew up in Edmonton and the guy who started Transcend actually goes to the church he attended there. He left a lucrative career for reasons of conscience and, after some soul searching and lots of prayer, decided to pursue coffee as a vocation. It has taken off and Transcend really has some of the best smelling coffees around (can’t comment taste-wise but my husband has gotten all sorts of coffee from many different places and they have my favourite smells) and with a flat rate from shipping in the US how can you go wrong?
