Movie season is here! I am counting down the days till the Oscars! I watch a lot of movies through Netflix, and as I was going through my Queue yesterday, I thought it might be fun to put together this list of my favorite movies watched in 2010. They didn’t all come out in 2010, but that is when I happened to view them:)
Inception. Loved the men’s clothes, and whole look and feel of this movie.
The Town. This one surprised me because I haven’t been liking Ben Affleck for awhile, but actually really liked him in this. It also made me root for the bad guys which is always interesting.
Inglorious Basterds. This was another that surprised me – you just never know with a Tarantino film, but I so so so enjoyed the score/soundtrack, the set design, costume design, dialogue, Direction, ect….
Best Worst Movie. This is a documentary about THE best worst movie – Troll 2. It was hilarious, and just as good as the movie itself.
Coco before Chanel. This movie was beautiful and inspiring. I was sad when it was over.
The Fighter. Pretty much any movie starring Christian Bale is worth watching to me, but I particularly loved this one. I am so happy that he won the Golden Globe, and that he is nominated for an Oscar – he better win!
The Science of Sleep. Creative, unique, humorous, and a visual feast for the eyes.
Don’t tell Mom the babysitter’s dead. I actually first saw this movie when I was 10, but watched it again a few months ago. I can honestly say that the theme of fashion throughout the movie shaped my outlook on fashion today. You never know where inspiration will come from.
The Hurt Locker. We did one of our first Etsy Picks on this movie, and I still love to look at it. Thrilling, sad, and beautifully shot. I hope that everyone has seen this.
Never Let Me Go. Unique storyline and intricate details in the set design. I was shocked to see that this movie didn’t receive any Oscar noms. Shame.
Bright Star. We also did an Etsy Picks on this movie, and I think that it has become one of my all-time favorites. Sooooooooo romantic and gorgeous!
I love movies so much! I almost did a section of my least favorite movies of 2010, but decided to focus on the positive (man-oh-man, there were some BAD movies last year!).
Have you seen any of these movies? Which one is your favorite? Any really good movies in 2010 that I didn’t mention?
Love,

loved your picks! I really want to see never let me go and bright star now. Remember Me was an AMAZING movie to me. It’s hard to watch Robert Patt’s performances sometimes (total Twilight fan, but he’s pretty on the eyes, not so great as an actor). The story line was very character building and slow to start, but you get so involved with everyone, and then the ending is SO shocking, you don’t expect it at all. Don’t know if you’ve seen or not, but I would highly recommend it! =)

Okay, because of your good review, I really want to see The Town now! I was on the fence about it before. I read Never Let Me Go, but haven’t seen the movie- Intriguing book though, I really enjoyed it. And I couldn’t agree MORE with what you said about Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead. I remember when I first saw it, I loved the way she stayed true to her unique style, mixing things of her mom’s with her things and doing her hair all different ways. LOVE that movie! Definitely one of my faves.

Inception was my fav movie from 2010. It was just SO well done and I LOVE Joseph and Leo. I’m single…that’s how I rate movies now. Hot guy? Love it! We just finished the Town for the second time. I also think Christian Bale should win whatever he’s nominated for, because he rocked that part!

I loved Bright Star! Found it on Netflix when it came out on DVD and couldn’t help but watch it 12 time. It might just be going on my “11 Movies You’ll Love On valentines Day” list as well.
