I honestly cannot get enough of letterpress. It makes me so happy, and someday – someday I will do my own. But until then, here are a few of my current favs from Etsy:

{Alphabet by One Canoe Two}

{Feathers Block Print by One Canoe Two}

{Diamond card by Tabletop Made}

{Kitchen Utensils by Ruff House Art}

{Pattern Postcards by Quill and Arrow Press}
Also, I’ve suddenly developed an obsession with airmail envelopes. Weird? Yeah maybe…but I really need to get my hands on some – they are so pretty. Got any lying around in your Grandma’s garage?

Want to guess what my favorite color in the kitchen is? Yup, I love robin egg blue. I LOVE it. All of these items are currently placed around my kitchen(yes, I just gathered them on the shelf for the photos – I don’t try to decorate by color-coding). Some of these are for everyday use, and some for decoration only, but I truly love them all.

Some of these items are thrifted, gifted, and some were even bought at the dollar store. I tend to gravitate to the color wherever I go it seems:)

My newest find is this monkey piggy-bank – I kept seeing him on the shelf of the thrift store, and I kept leaving him there….week after week I would see him, and finally I bought him. I can’t believe that I left him there so long! He fits in perfectly and has the sweetest little face in the world:)
Do you have any colors that you can’t help but love and use over and over?
Love,
Stephanie May*

How was your weekend? I hope it was good! Mine was sometimes busy, sometimes relaxing and lazy, and sometimes hectic – combining all of those together makes for an interesting time to say the least:)
I tried out a new recipe on Thursday night (photos and tutorial coming!), and it got me thinking about all of the amazing recipes that I ALWAYS want to try, but rarely ever do – wanna see?

Home made Oreos (Seriously, I ♥ Oreos!)

Corn, buttermilk, and chive popovers

Apple Pear Cobbler

Open faced egg salad sandwiches

Salted caramel spread (I LOVE salted caramel!)

Blue cheese and red potato tart
Don’t all of these look so good?! What recipes have you been making lately?
Love,

I am a little bit of a book person – I know, you’re shocked. I have 20 library books at my house right now – and yes, I am reading them all. They are not all novels though at the moment. There are a few of those in there, but it is also books on interior design, Parisian style and graphic novels. Yes – I am one of those too.
Last night I grew obsessed looking through the interior design books and gathering ideas for my house. And my mind EXPLODED with plans for every room. One of the books that I saw while browsing at the library was “Modern Vintage Style“. To be honest, I felt like it was going to be pretty stereotypical as far as design goes and I didn’t expect to truly like much of what I saw. I am admitting it here, and this may be the last time….sometimes, I am wrong.

I mean, seriously… how can you resist this?! I am getting some crazy ideas people…like – painting the floors, tearing out walls crazy. Eeeeeeep!
Happy weekend! Hopefully I don’t do too much damage to the house this weekend…I guess I should probably finish my chimney project first, huh?
Love love,
Stormie Dae

Cutest scarf ever.

Amazing shoes.

Seriously in LOVE with this hat!

This skirt is the perfect length for fall.

Cutest necktie necklaces.

Okay, not for me, but this coat is ultra-cute nonetheless.
I can’t wait…how about you?

Missoni is coming to Target!! I’m sure you’ve heard that already, but I completely forgot about this little tidbit of goodness until I saw another ad for it in my Vogue magazine last night. I can’t wait! There are so many incredible patterns to choose from on items ranging from clothing to office supplies and storage. {Sorry for the photo quality, it’s pretty crappy}.

I will definitely be getting a new make-up bag, LOVE these!

These curtains make me salivate…especially since I want to paint some of the walls in my kitchen with this exact pattern.

The absolutle BEST part of the collection and if I didn’t already have a pretty pretty cruiser bike – you better believe I would be sporting one of these!

The line will launch at Target on September 13…I am crossing my fingers that our Target will be carrying it!

This is a photo of me from about an hour ago.
Bangs=long.
To cut or not to cut? That is the question.

On Sunday evening, Stormie and I took some new photos for our blog! We will be making some small changes in the look and feel of the blog, and hopefully will have those changes made in the next few weeks, so keep an eye out:) We won’t be showing you the photos until we get them done though (right Stormie?).
Today I need to work on more Etsy listings for both MayDae and Fibbie. We’ve got a bunch of new stuff for MayDae, so I should be getting those all listed today and tomorrow (btw, I am telling you this so that I will actually do it)!

Today was a good day. I started my new schedule at work which means that instead of working really early and long days, I went back to an 8-hour shift 5 days a week. It will be so nice to not have to wake up so early!
When I got home I was greeted by this:

{Pay no attention to the broken mailbox embellishment}

Yay for the September issue!!!!
And the roomie, her boyfriend and I grilled out…SO good.

Kind of a good Monday – and we may just end up playing Settlers of Catan (no idea what’s going on there but maybe I’ll learn) and I’m sure we’ll throw in some “Rookies” for good measure. Police shows are bomb – just sayin.
Kiss kiss,
Stormie Dae

On Friday I received the September issue of Babytalk Magazine:

I was extremely excited to get it because, they featured a pair of shoes from FIBBIE in it (if you don’t know what Fibbie is, you can read about it here)! I was so happy when I saw these photos:

The editorial is absolutely adorable! I love how they styled the outfits and that they used my shoes on little Lola – so sweet!
In case you are wondering how this came about, I was first contacted by Babytalk back in May. They said that they liked the shoes and wanted me to consider sending them to be possibly photographed for the magazine. I had no idea if they would actually use them or not, so when I found out that they had used them, I was very very happy! Babytalk kindly sent the shoes back to me, and I just relisted them, so they are ready for purchase again:)
I got a free subscription to the magazine, and even though I’m not a “new” mom, it still has really cute items and loads of helpful info – you can go here to sign up for a free subscription too!
Yay!

This is me all broody and serious-like:

And this is my Friday night:

I promise I won’t bore you with posts about my exposed brick chimney after this but I wanted to show my progress. I went to my parents house after work tonight to borrow a couple of my dad’s chisels because I don’t have any. I wasn’t going to get started on this quite yet but decided on a whim to give it a go and I am SO excited!! The plaster is pretty thick on one side – about 1-1.5 inches but it’s all coming off pretty easily. I think if I give this project one solid afternoon, I could actually finish it in one day – yay, LOVE projects like that!

Happy weekend lovelies!!
Stormie Dae
