Total eclipse of the heart

6.30.2010 by Stormie Dae under Movies

Some may be ashamed to admit it, but I am not one of those.  May* and I were among the throngs of teeny-boppers last night for the midnight showing of Twilight:Eclipse.  It is a guilty pleasure and we thoroughly enjoyed it – especially the parts where Edward got his jabs in at Jacob.  I mean, seriously.  Does he own a shirt?!

Etsy Picks: It’s a veg-e-ta-ble

6.28.2010 by Stephanie May under Etsy Picks,Fashion,Home decor

If you need some inspiration to keep away from the cupcakes and cheeseburgers this summer, you’ll find it here.  Put down that can of Dr. Pepper (yum) and pick up a carrot stick or juicy tomato.  Just try not to slather them in ranch or roll them in salt.  This week’s Etsy.com picks are all about vegetables – Bon appetite!

May’s Etsy Picks:

Vintage grater.

Happy eggplant.

Oh, how did these get in here?  Onions and tomatoes anyone?

Not surprisingly, I love this photo.

(Light bulb veggie bag by The Kitchen Roost, grater from Tea at Home with Olivia, asparagus apron from Pawling, eggplant friend by Natalie Mae, veggie clutch from Things She Carried, baby booties by Garden Alley, Onion rings photo from Broom Hill Pictures, sprouts by Six Hours,  push pins by The Dove Tree)

Dae’s Etsy Picks:

Anyone call for a carrot scarf?

Carl.  Onion.  (Something for Ricky Gervais fans)

(Cabbage leaf serving tray by the little prints, Muslin radishes by Middleburg, Carrot scarf by Twinkie Chan, Vintage potato masher from Behind the Screen Door, The Green Bean Zine by Green Bean Studio, Avocado necklace by Lulu Bug Jewelry, Onion Gonk by ClareBears, Broccoli stamp by Enchanting Stamps, Yellow platter by Wobbly Plates)

Reckless and Pretty

6.25.2010 by Stormie Dae under Fashion,Music

I love Taylor Momsen.  Her sense of style is phenomenal and the last time I got my haircut, it was 5 photos of her that I took with me to have it modeled after.  I am currently listening to her band, The Pretty Reckless – and am thoroughly enjoying it.

Fed up

6.23.2010 by Stormie Dae under Fashion

It seems I typically don’t go one day without seeing a fedora whether it be in person, on the internet or televison.  I actually really like fedoras, although I don’t own one myself.  Enjoy these fabulous women and their lovely fedoras.  *This one’s for you Tris;)

These lips don’t lie

6.18.2010 by Stormie Dae under Fashion

I rarely wear lipstick, but I always dream about wearing it…I just never really like how it looks when I have it on – don’t have the lips for it I suppose.  Or maybe I just need more interesting colors and technique.  These may seem strange for everyday wear, but if I saw someone walking down the street with this kind of loveliness on their lips, I think it would make my day.

This is pretty much awesome

Subtle but cute

Even natural lipstick is lovely

Grey.  Do I need to say more?

I love this a lot

Definitely the most creative and intriguing lipstick I’ve ever seen.  I love this.

So, I am seriously in love with wallpaper right now, and want to have it all over my house!  How much fun are these prints?

Love the colors in this photo.
